Short Spring breaks

long week diving tours on the best wrecks around Bergen Feb/March     These long weekend /week tours give you the opportunity of diving some of the best wrecks in Norway regardless of adverse weather. Your skipper can take  you to 35 wreck sites around Bergen, 15 at  Narvik. Between dive activities include mountain walks. Skiing, German bunker tours, Orca watching & on a clear night the northern lights. Under water visibility is exceptional in winter. Both Livaboard trips include accommodation & food, dive cylinders and weights. At Narvik  self cater accommodation near  the harbour is available. Winter activities are  easy from the comfort of this base, popular with none divers, friends and family. Winter weather in North Norway is quite settled by uk standards, coastal  temperatures -1 to -5 are comfortable because of low humidity and often no wind.  Bright clear skys and reflections from fjords and  snow covered mountains make fantastic scenery. Bergen to Bodo

This 500 mile coastal cruise  north calls at many of the principle ports such as Floro, Alesund, Kristiansund, Bronnoysund and Bodo, diving and sightseeing all the way.

Bodo to Narvik This 150 mile 7 day coastal cruise  starts you diving within minutes of boarding the boat on D/S Rabat one of the best wrecks in north Norway. The cruise then heads over to the famous Lofoten Islands or Narvik  The scenery here, above and below the waterline, is some of the best in Norway. We then head for Narvik to dive many classic wreck sites including the warships from the Battle of Narvik     July 18 to 25  £700

Narvik to Tromso This 7 day trip starts wreck diving around Narvik This busy 200 mile 9 day 9 night cruise starts with wreck dives within the Narvik region, between dive activities include chance to see famous local features like the Tirpitz museum, Polar Institute and Arctic science and polar aquarium. Starting on the 14 wrecks from the Battle for Narvik,D/S Flint, Heinkel bomber, German landing craft, Belgica, Black Watch, Uboat U117, Dronning Maud, Elise Schulte. D/S Karmoy  Rauenfeld and  finaly the Tirpitz remains. We visit more wrecks on this trip than is possible to dive.  This pioneering  adventure will be exploring many new sites. and  previously located wrecks from the successful 2008  exped.   Diver s fly into Narvik and out of Tromso

This 11 day trip starts wreck diving around Tromso on the Tirpitz, Tott, Flint, Russian cruiser Murmansk then heads north 450 miles around North Cape and along the north coast down to Kirkenes at the Russian border diving all the way. This pioneering  adventure will be exploring many new sites. and  previously located wrecks from the successful 2007 exped.   Divers fly into Tromso and out of Kirkenes

Tromso to Narvik

This busy 200 mile 9 day 9 night cruise starts with wreck dives within the Tromso region retuning to Tromso between dives for the chance to see famous local features like the Tirpitz museum, Polar Institute and Arctic science and polar aquarium.  After diving the Tirpitz site we head  south to Harstad to dive wrecks such as D/S Flint, Heinkel bomber, German landing craft, Belgica, Black Watch, Uboat U117, Dronning Maud, Elise Schulte.D/S Karmoy  Rauenfeld and  finally to  Narvik and some  the 14 sites of WW2 wrecks from the Battle for Narvik. We visit more wrecks on this trip than is possible to dive so responsible divers can maximise diving and safety by using nitrox.

Narvik return Narvik

These 6 day/6 night wreck diving bonanzas concentrates on the warships around Narvik. The diving here is easy, 25 metres or less, so nitrox divers can keep busy all day, basic scuba gear is sufficient. Diving historians have an opportunity to research the naval  battles at the excellent local museum.

This tour can also be modified to take a 3 day excursion North to Harstad to dive wrecks including the Black Watch, the U117 and the Dronning Maud. Alternatively, a 3 day cruise diving trip down the Lofoten Isles is available. During October herring are moving into this area for the winter and killer whales follow them, we sometimes get an encounter.

If the night sky is clear we often see the Northern lights. Other diving related activities include.

Mountain climb to see the incredible site of the Rauenfelds, A German supply ship that exploded, her remains are now 1 mile up the mountain we also make a dive after the climb.

Iron ore train trip. Mid week morning we take a short train ride on the mountain ore train from Narvik to Sweden. At a remote   mountain  station we walk down an old track to the head of Romsbaken fjord, passing water falls and historical sites, join the boat to dive, a German sea plane "Sea Adler", under sea  caves and  HMS Eskimo bow , before returning to Narvik.

Five Ski slopes surround Narvik harbour, it would be easy to ski and / or dive in the same day. January, Febuary March and April for Narvik slopes, until July at  Bjornfjell 40 mins from Narvik
